KONTORprojects is delighted to be part of the City-Link festival as part of an exhibition at Gallery Speckstrasse.
City Link is a co-creating network of activists, artists, architects, curators, cultural entrepreneurs, researchers and other people with ideas that could link cities. The network was initiated in 2012 with support of the municipalities of Copenhagen and Hamburg. It started as a cooperative project between Copenhagen’s and Hamburg’s cultural communities and other user-driven projects. The City Link Festival is a culmination and celebration of all the activities linking people from Copenhagen and Hamburg in 2012-2014. City Link has two main approaches in creating links between cultural communities of various cities. One involves cultural exchange programs for artists and projects with exhibitions, concerts and performances. The other is a theoretical approach with lectures, debates and workshops. In 2014 other cities will be invited to join the project in order to make the network bigger and better.
